Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Sushi Helper to support our sushi kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain a clean and organized workstation, and help the sushi chefs with daily kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients such as vegetables, rice, sauces, and other sushi components.
• Wash, cut, and organize ingredients according to kitchen standards.
• Assist sushi chefs with food preparation and basic kitchen tasks.
• Keep workstations, utensils, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and sanitized.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Properly store and label food ingredients.
• Help with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies.
• Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning when needed.
• Maintain a fast, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Follow instructions from sushi chefs and kitchen management.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn sushi preparation and kitchen techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when necessary.
• Food handler certification is a plus, if required by local regulations.
