Position Overview

A nonprofit acute care hospital is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Nurse Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership for its inpatient behavioral health program.

This is an excellent opportunity for a current Behavioral Health Assistant Nurse Manager or experienced nursing leader ready to advance into a Nurse Manager role. The position oversees staffing, quality, patient care, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, and financial operations.

Responsibilities

Direct daily inpatient Behavioral Health operations
Lead, coach, and develop nursing staff
Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance
Drive evidence-based practice and quality improvement
Monitor departmental budgets and resource utilization
Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance
Promote patient safety and exceptional clinical outcomes

Requirements

Active Maryland RN license or eligibility
Nursing degree required
3-5 years of nursing experience
Current inpatient Behavioral Health experience required
Nursing leadership experience strongly preferred
BLS certification
Strong staff development and operational leadership skills
ACLS/PALS preferred
