Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care in the emergency room environment to critically ill and injured patients. Supervises nursing staff, coordinates with interdisciplinary teams, and ensures adherence to established standards of care to promote patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions swiftly and accurately to determine immediate care needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver timely and effective emergency interventions.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to nursing staff and monitor their performance.
• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with organizational policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent experience in emergency or acute care settings.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
