Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on providing therapy to couples and families. You will balance group sessions in which you facilitate discussions among family members, as well as individual therapy meetings. Your specific responsibilities will include:

• Providing therapy for a range of issues, including but not limited to relationship difficulties, conflicts among family members, grief, trauma, and adjustment challenges.

• Offering support and resources for clients dealing with substance abuse and job-related stress.

• Collaborating with clients to enhance communication skills and conflict resolution strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families. Your focus will be on supporting clients facing challenges such as marital discord, grief and loss, blended family dynamics, and various psychological issues. The clients you see may include both adults and children, enabling you to apply a comprehensive approach to family therapy across age groups.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, you must possess a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related discipline, along with an active LMFT license in the state of Georgia. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical practices and ongoing personal and professional development.
