This position is eligible for a $500.00 hiring/retention bonus! $100 Monthly Perfect Attendance Award Off at NOON every FRIDAY! Hours: M-Th 6:00am - 3:15pm, Fri 6:00am - 12:00pm Starting Pay: $16.50/hour Summary Perform hand assembly work on post-surface mount circuit boards by following detailed written work instructions. Responsibilities / Principal Duties Identify and read values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole components. Identify orientation and polarity of components according to the printed circuit board for thru-hole. Ability to read assembly drawings to identify part numbers for assembly. Verify thru-hole part values and correct part location placement. Basic understanding of the IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards. Setup production slide lines including sample boards. Perform end-of-line inspection. Utilize basic equipment. Assist in the training of other assemblers. Performs other duties as assigned. Interpersonal Skills Takes responsibility for the quality of one’s individual work. Demonstrates accuracy and neatness in their work. Cooperative and dependable, highly motivated, and trustworthy. Respects and works effectively with fellow team members. Will notify team leader if team is not following quality processes. Will present new ideas and improvements to team leader. Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: prefer experience with production assembly process – Spectra-Tech will train as needed. Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Job requires prolonged sitting, standing and frequent bending, stooping and stretching. Manual dexterity is crucial in the placement and handling of thru-hole components. Good eyesight is necessary for identifying components and their placement. Occasional light lifting will be required. Waiver: This position may be filled by an applicant without meeting all qualifications with Ownership Group review and approval. Equipment: Training will be given in the use of production equipment.
