Program Assistant - Bronx, NY

Description Provide administrative and operational support for programming activities and events. Key Responsibilities Coordinate schedules, meetings, calendars, and communications Maintain program records, databases, reports, and documentation Assist with preparing presentations, correspondence, and program materials Support participant onboarding, registration, and follow‑up communications Track deadlines, deliverables, and program milestones Respond to inquiries from clients, participants, or community partners Organize workshops, trainings, meetings, and special events Collaborate with internal teams to improve program processes and efficiency Perform other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Associate’s degree with two years’ experience, or High school Diploma with three to five years’ experience (preferred) Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Skills Experience with project management Customer service or community engagement background Data entry and reporting experience Occasional evening or weekend events may be required Competitive salary based on experience Professional development opportunities Required Skills Verbal Communication – Expert Communication – Advanced / Expert Administrative – Expert Detail‑oriented – Intermediate Required Behaviors Team Player: Works well as a member of a group Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity Education High School Diploma or better in Academic (required) Some college or better in General Studies (preferred) Experience Experience working in youth programs, and career/workforce development environment (required) 2‑5 years preparing reports, budgets, surveys, and other data related inquiries (preferred) Experience with outreach and recruitment strategies (preferred) Pay Rate $30.00/hour Schedule Part Time (25 hours/week) Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
