Position: Gatehouse Coordinator / Administrative Support

Location: Long Beach, CA 90810

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview

The client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as the first point of contact for drivers, visitors, vendors, and contractors entering the facility. This position combines administrative support, customer service, and gatehouse operations in a warehouse/distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct incoming truck drivers and visitors to the appropriate gate, dock, or department.
• Review driver paperwork, bills of lading, and shipping/receiving documentation for accuracy.
• Enter driver, visitor, and shipment information into the company system.
• Check in guests, vendors, and contractors entering the facility.
• Maintain accurate logs of incoming and outgoing traffic.
• Communicate with warehouse, shipping, and receiving personnel regarding arrivals and departures.
• Monitor gate activity and report any safety or security concerns.
• Conduct periodic perimeter inspections to ensure the facility grounds remain clean, organized, and secure.
• Verify visitor credentials and issue visitor badges when required.
• Assist with general administrative duties, filing, and record keeping.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude at all times.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking drivers, visitors, and vendors.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency and accurate data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Previous experience in administrative support, receptionist, gate attendant, logistics, warehouse office, transportation, or security desk roles preferred.
• Reliable attendance and dependable work history.
