Business Development Representative (Commercial Finance) Block Equity Group | Midtown Manhattan, NY (On-site) Full-time Block Equity Group is a private equity firm specializing in business financing, equity injections, and debt refinancing for small and medium-sized businesses. We help small businesses access growth capital quickly and intelligently; by pairing the right borrower with the right funding structure. Our platform includes both in-house products and a deep partner network, offering revenue‑based financing, Term Loans, SBA Programs, Lines of Credit, Factoring, and Debt Consolidation. The Role As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll be the first point of contact for business owners looking for capital. You’ll qualify opportunities, educate clients on funding options, and move deals into the pipeline for closing. This is a full-cycle inside sales role with clear promotion paths, intensive training, and uncapped earning potential. This is a management training program, the goal is to develop BDRs and only promote from within, we need to build our next generation of AEs, team leads, and managers. What You’ll Do Generate and qualify new business through proactive outbound calling, emailing, and multi-touch follow-up. Convert inbound leads by quickly assessing fit, urgency, and funding needs. Run discovery conversations with business owners to understand cash flow, goals, and challenges. Match clients to the right product across our lending suite, based on use case and underwriting reality. Build a reliable pipeline by tracking activity and outcomes with discipline. Maintain long-term relationships : turning one-time deals into repeat business and referrals. Collaborate with closers and leadership to improve scripts, targeting, and conversion. Build a personal pipeline of qualified SMB opportunities. Start generating funded deals and repeatable results. Earn trust internally and become a go-to for client communication.
