This position requires an onsite presence at our Rehabilitation Center in Sayreville, NJ. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability and enhancing functional mobility based on each client's individual needs.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the proper implementation of prescribed treatments.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical function through diagnostic tests to develop effective treatment strategies.
• Assess patients' home environments to recommend necessary modifications for improved independence during rehabilitation.
• Administer hands-on therapeutic exercises, guiding, instructing, and motivating clients through both manual and non-manual therapy techniques.
• Provide expert care through the application of traction, massage, and other physical treatment methods.
• Evaluate the need for orthotic and prosthetic devices, fitting and adjusting them as necessary while advising physicians on modifications.
• Contribute to the continuous development and updating of individual care plans to reflect patient progress and ensure high-quality therapeutic outcomes.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining accurate clinical records like evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to strategize comprehensive treatment plans for clients.
• Guide clients and their families in using therapeutic devices and educate them on their physical therapy programs.
• Provide accessible support for Physical Therapy Assistants during client treatment sessions as needed.
• Complete any additional responsibilities as designated to fulfill the clinic's operational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Must be licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, demonstrating proficiency in practical therapeutic techniques.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Preferred Experience
