Position Overview
Role: Travel ICU Charge Nurse
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Department: Intensive Care Unit
Available Shifts: Day and Night
Compensation: Gross pay ranging from $1,491 to $2,067 per week, which translates to an hourly rate of $41.44 to $57.43.
Contract Duration: 12 weeks

- Supervise ICU operations and nursing personnel during assigned shifts.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments effectively.
- Guide, mentor, and enhance staff performance and development.
- Assist with performance evaluations and HR-related tasks.
- Oversee inventory, equipment, and unit preparedness.
- Coordinate patient care, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Address patient care issues and escalate concerns through the proper channels.
- Engage with patients and families to promote a positive experience.
- Provide direct patient care as necessary to ensure safe staffing and quality outcomes.
- Guarantee high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory standards.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING
- Valid RN License in the state of practice
- Current BLS certification (AHA) upon hire and must remain up to date
- Current ACLS certification (AHA) upon hire and must remain up to date
- At least one year of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital or emergency department
- One to two years of prior supervisory experience in an acute care hospital or ICU setting is required
