Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Neurosurgery

Position Overview UCHealth Brain & Spine Clinic in Loveland, CO is recruiting a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a growing team of six neurosurgeons and thirteen advanced practice providers. The role involves clinic care, inpatient rounding, and operating room first assist with a four‑day work week (rotating weekends) totaling 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team. Deliver high‑quality patient care across outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings. Participate in continuous professional development and quality‑improvement initiatives. Requirements for Physician Assistants Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Unrestricted PA license in Colorado. PA‑C certification (NCCPA) required at hire and maintained throughout employment. Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications. Eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid provider status and no exclusion from federal programs. Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate privileges. Prescriptive authority per medical staff privileging process. BLS certification. Requirements for Nurse Practitioners Master’s degree in Nursing with graduate of an accredited NP program. NP certification (ANCC or AANPCB) required at hire and maintained throughout employment. Unrestricted NP license in Colorado or compact privileges. Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications. Eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid provider status and no exclusion from federal programs. Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate privileges. BLS certification. Exceptional Benefits The compensated package includes a base salary range of $119,600 to $156,796 (based on experience) and additional compensation such as a quarterly Quality Value Incentive Plan up to $10,000, relocation bonus up to $10,000, and paid malpractice.
