Work Environment

This Full-Time role is based onsite at our modern Rehabilitation Facility in Woodbridge, Virginia, providing you with the chance to work in a collaborative and supportive environment. You will be part of an enthusiastic team of skilled professionals who are all focused on improving patient outcomes and creating a positive impact in the community. Your typical schedule will be Monday to Friday, with a commitment to a 40-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical abilities and limitations to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement and monitor evidence-based therapeutic interventions and modalities for various patient needs, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
• Deliver specialized care to patients across diverse areas, including orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine, adapting your approach as necessary.
• Provide patient education and training to enhance understanding of treatment goals and techniques, empowering patients and their caregivers in their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes, sharing insights and aligning on best practices for care delivery.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and tracking for progress, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
• Achieve utilization goals and contribute to the overall business performance, striving to meet and exceed targets.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population you will serve at Lakeland Care Solution consists of individuals across all age groups dealing with a variety of physical impairments. From young athletes recovering from sports-related injuries to elderly patients seeking to regain mobility post-surgery, your role as a Physical Therapist will be critical in helping these individuals reclaim their desired quality of life. You will address the unique needs of each patient, ensuring personalized care and attention.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program is required.
• State License to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in technology, including computer skills for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to establish meaningful rapport with patients, enhancing their comfort and trust in the rehabilitation process.
• Demonstrated passion for physical therapy and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with diverse exposure to various patient populations and treatment modalities is preferred.
• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution and state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapist (DPT) are desirable.
• Current CPR certification, reflecting a commitment to patient safety and emergency preparedness.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our compensation package includes:
