Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, focusing on providing home care to our patients in the Princeton area. Your work schedule will consist of 40 hours per week, with variable weekends as necessary to meet patient needs. You will engage with a diverse patient population, receiving the necessary resources and support to enhance your professional development and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to accurately assess their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans designed to optimize patient outcomes and facilitate recovery.
• Provide expert consultations to other healthcare providers related to the continuum of care for patients.
• Ensure compliance with our high customer service standards by interacting respectfully with all patients, regardless of age or cultural background.
• Document evaluations, treatment processes, and discharge plans according to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, including community outreach, marketing efforts, and program development.
• Participate in ongoing educational activities to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge in orthopedic treatment.
• Supervise assigned support staff and ensure efficient management of resources within the department.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain the required state licensure and certifications, including BLS, and adhere to industry regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic pain, and rehabilitating after injuries. The population encompasses a diverse age range and various cultural backgrounds, emphasizing the need for personalized, empathetic care strategies tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid physical therapy state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in word processing and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a home care setting or working directly with orthopedic patients will be highly regarded. Candidates who have participated in leadership activities, community outreach programs, or have served in mentorship roles within a clinical capacity will find their skills beneficial in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
