Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist in Home Care Settings

Achilles Sports Medicine is looking for a dedicated and passionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Princeton, New Jersey. This full-time position involves working directly with patients in their home environments to help them recover from musculoskeletal conditions and improve their functional capabilities. Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite as part of our home care service, allowing for one-on-one interactions with patients in the comfort of their homes. You will be joining a collaborative work environment with a small but efficient team composed of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our shared goal is to provide exceptional care, which is powered by our state-of-the-art treatment techniques and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify the individual goals and physical needs of each patient to establish personalized treatment programs.
• Handle a manageable caseload, dedicating approximately one hour per patient to ensure focused and effective care.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols designed for orthopedic conditions, encompassing various therapeutic techniques.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription to enhance patient mobility and functional capabilities.
• Reduce patient reliance on medications by exploring and recommending non-surgical management options.
• Develop clear, comprehensive care plans that integrate a variety of modalities and therapeutic approaches to optimize patient outcomes.
• Encourage patient engagement and motivation to achieve their personal health and fitness goals throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Monitor and document progress meticulously, maintaining clear communication with patients and their families regarding treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to foster a holistic approach to patient care.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as necessary to meet changing patient conditions.

Our primary focus is on patients with orthopedic injuries and conditions who require targeted rehabilitation strategies for recovery. This demographic includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports-related injuries, or chronic pain conditions. By working in a home care setting, you will ensure accessibility and flexibility in treatment, addressing the unique challenges these patients face in their daily lives.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
• A valid New Jersey license to practice as a Physical Therapist, with no disciplinary actions in your history.
• Strong expertise in manual therapy techniques and comprehensive knowledge in orthopedic rehabilitation practices.
• Exceptional skills in developing and implementing effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with physical therapy documentation standards, especially using WebPT EMR software for record-keeping and treatment tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings, demonstrating competence in managing a diverse caseload effectively.
• Ability to create individualized treatment plans that reflect a deep understanding of patient conditions and rehabilitation goals.
• Experience in providing care in home settings will be a significant advantage, enabling you to adapt treatment approaches in varied environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
