Job Summary Job Title: Lecturer of Microbiology Location: Kennesaw, Georgia Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full‑Time Job ID: 291842 Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure track faculty position as Lecturer of Microbiology in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology. Preferred start date is August 2026. This is a nine‑month contracted position. Teaching responsibilities will be primarily for introductory microbiology courses (BIOL 2260 and BIOL 2260L) and may extend to undergraduate introductory biology lecture and lab courses (BIOL 1107 and 1107L). The position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia. Responsibilities Teach introductory microbiology courses (BIOL 2260 and its laboratory BIOL 2260L). Teach undergraduate introductory biology lecture and lab courses (BIOL 1107 and 1107L) as required. Participate in professional service within the department, college, and university. Provide learning opportunities that nurture growth and respect for all students. Required Qualifications Master’s or doctorate degree in biology or a closely related discipline (or foreign equivalent) at the time of hire. Completed upper‑level coursework, preferably graduate coursework, in microbiology. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated record of exemplary teaching at the university level, evidenced by student and peer evaluations. Experience with course development and active learning strategies. Experience teaching online or hybrid courses. Application Requirements Curriculum vitae. Cover letter.
