TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63131!

Job Title: Critical Care Float Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 2 years ICU experience required. 1 year CV ICU experience preferred. License: Must hold a valid nursing license. Certifications: ACLS required. BLS required. NIH required. CPI preferred. TNCC preferred. Chemotherapy experience preferred. Must-Have: Strong, independent experienced nurses required. Ability to float to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac, Client, Medicine, and COVID units. Ability to float to inpatient floors if ICU needs are low. Previous charge experience preferred. Past experience with electronic medical records preferred. Description: This position involves floating to multiple ICU units as needed. Nurses will be expected to float to various inpatient units when there are no ICU needs. The ratio in the ICU is 2:1 for all shifts. When floating to inpatient floors, the ratio will be no more than 1:3. There may be occasions where nurses are asked to serve as patient sitters. There is a requirement to work every other weekend with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule. Holiday rotations are also required. Specific CVICU experience is not necessary. Preferred skills include the ability to manage hemodynamic interpretation, arterial lines, and vasoactive drips. Experience with CRRT, ventilators, IV starts, telemedicine, and conscious sedation is required. Floating to non-critical care units is expected if ICU census is low. Understanding of triage, ICP, and PA lines is preferred. Candidates must be willing to adapt to various patient populations, primarily adults and geriatrics. This position may involve working with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and rapid response teams. Candidates should be aware that adolescents may be present, but they will be adult size and weight. All travelers are expected to float within the service line.
