Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing outpatient Gastroenterology practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. No prior Gastroenterology experience is required—providers with a strong primary care or internal medicine background are encouraged to apply

Position Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Lunch: 1-hour daily

Patient Population: Adults (18+)

Patient Volume: Approximately 12–16 patients per day

Hospital Rounding: Rotation every 6 weeks

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.

Perform new patient consultations, follow-up visits, and treatment planning.

Order and interpret diagnostic testing and laboratory studies.

Educate patients on disease management, medications, and preventive care.

Participate in a rotating inpatient rounding schedule every six weeks.

Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists and the clinical support team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary: $120,000–$135,000

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

Board Certified as an NP or PA

Eligible for or active Colorado license

Gastroenterology or adult internal medicine experience preferred

Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
