Golf Course Worker - Seasonal

Job Overview Rutgers University is seeking a Golf Course Worker (Seasonal) to support operations at the Rutgers Golf Course. Responsibilities Greeter Duties: Greet players at the 1st tee, provide course pace of play policy, record playing times, and communicate issues to professional staff and seasonal rangers/greeters. Starter Duties: Assist players upon arrival, transport equipment to the staging area, ensure reservations reach the 1st tee, inform players of pace of play policies, and report any customer or equipment issues. Player Assistant/Ranger Duties: Monitor pace of play, enforce policies, repair ball marks and fairway divots, clean trash, and communicate issues. Practice & Teaching Attendant Duties: Maintain safe practice environment, manage hitting area, pick and sort range balls, monitor practice green, supervise student‑athlete usage, open/close practice facility, and report issues. FLSA Status: Nonexempt Compensation Hourly pay: $16.00 – $20.00 Final salary offer will be based on qualifications, experience, and funding availability. Terms of Appointment: Temporary Staff Appointment – Hourly Qualifications High school or vocational school education or equivalent experience. Valid driver’s license. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs. Effective communication skills in person, phone, or radio. Ability to work independently and follow supervisor directions. Reliability and punctuality. Physical strength for the Practice & Teaching position (lift up to 50 lbs). Knowledge of the game of golf. Physical Demands and Work Environment Standing for long periods. Working outside in all weather conditions. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Safe driving record.
