GROUP SUPERVISOR

Group Supervisor – Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center (DCJDC) The Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center is located in Downtown Nashville, next to the Tennessee Titans stadium, and is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment for at‑risk youth. In this role you will help provide care and supervision for young individuals awaiting trial, offering a mix of education, counseling, medical and recreation services. You will monitor activities, document behavior, and assist in various programs to support the growth and development of youth aged 12‑18. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise the Direct Juvenile Support Workers, serving as a mentor and ensuring they adhere to facility and daily schedules. Directly supervise Coach Counselors and Night Coach Counselors, working alongside them in units, education, and other ROP activities. Enforce staff and student compliance with facility rules and program requirements, modeling ROP programming. Provide a positive, safe, and supportive environment for the youth served. Maintain accurate documentation of activities, behavior, and progress. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of experience working with at‑risk youth. Supervisory experience preferred. At least 21 years of age. Pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical exam, and TB test. Pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry. Eligible to be an ROP driver, including a current driver’s license. Schedule Day Shift: 7 am – 8 pm (12‑hour shift, 1‑hour break) Night Shift: 7 pm – 8 am (12‑hour shift, 1‑hour break) Compensation & Benefits Pay: $55,000–$60,000 annually; may increase with education and experience.
