Forklift Operator/Warehouse (Cambridge)

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our energetic team in a fast‑paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move products and materials throughout the facility. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations. Duties Operate forklifts, and order pickers, to transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring that products are prepared for shipment. Conduct heavy lifting of products as needed, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury. Willing to work overtime upon request Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels. Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production goals. Skills Proficiency in operating forklifts. Experience in warehouse distribution environments with a strong understanding of logistics processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory management. Strong computer skills is an asset. Basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory tracking. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
