Process Engineer for AI Model Evaluation

Process Engineers apply process and refinery engineering expertise to evaluate AI-generated technical content and produce expert-level analytical outputs that reflect real-world process engineering practices. This part-time, project-based contract role uses your hands-on experience with process simulation, refinery planning, and chemical engineering workflows to improve AI performance and produce usable engineering deliverables.

• Assess and critique AI-generated process engineering content for technical accuracy and practicality.
• Produce expert-level analytical work and data outputs using the tools and workflows from your professional practice.
• Complete structured, project-based tasks that mirror real work, for example building price forecast models or developing PPA documentation.
• Apply process simulation, LP modeling, refinery planning, and optimization workflows to create or validate deliverables.
• Provide clear, detailed written feedback and documentation to help align AI outputs with industry practice.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in process or refinery engineering in roles such as Process Engineer, Refinery Engineer, Process Simulation Engineer, Refinery Planning Engineer, LP Modeler, Refinery Optimization Engineer, or equivalent positions in the energy or chemical industry.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools: Aspen, Haverly GRTMPS, SuperPro Designer, AVEVA PI.
• Bachelor''s degree or higher in engineering or a related field is required.
• Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously.

• Engagement type: part-time, hourly contract work, not a traditional salaried role.
• Fully remote with a flexible, asynchronous schedule and no minimum hour requirement.
• Typical time commitment when active on a project is approximately 5 to 20 hours per week.
• This is an ongoing, project-based arrangement that can be performed alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment.
• Placement and assignment to specific projects depend on current project needs, with consideration for contributors on future projects as they become available.

• Up to $80/hr (depending on the project).

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility and whether the work meets your institution''s CPT requirements.
• If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course for authorization, projects on this platform may not satisfy that requirement. STEM OPT is not supported.
