We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Social Worker and Mental Health Counselor to join our Mental Health Team within the Special Education Program at Mind, Body, & Soul Counseling. This is a full-time position that allows for remote work while primarily supporting school-based functions. This role is largely remote, offering flexibility while providing essential services to schools in Fresno, California. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, identifying individual needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with students' educational goals and emotional well-being.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to address issues such as ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, and trauma, ensuring a structured approach to therapy.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping mechanisms.
\n
• Collaborate closely with educators, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, ensuring an integrated approach to mental health and education.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during high-pressure situations, ensuring students receive immediate care and guidance.
\n
• Educate students and their families on mental health challenges and available resources, promoting awareness and understanding.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation following legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities to stay updated on best practices and treatment modalities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with students in the Special Education Program who experience various mental health challenges, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, emotional and behavioral disorders, and trauma. Your role is vital in helping these students integrate successfully into their educational environments while addressing their unique social and emotional needs.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent doctoral-level license.

• A bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field; a master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is preferred.
\n
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate effective treatment plans.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to connect with students and families.
\n
• Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems for managing documentation and records.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of post-licensure experience in a relevant field, particularly within educational settings or with children and adolescents.

• Experience delivering individual and group therapy, specifically using diverse therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to effectively navigate challenging situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
