Job Description
Job Title: CT Technologist
Profession: Client Allied Level 2 CT Tech
Specialty: Exception: CT Tech
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Weekend Overnights
Hours per Shift: 12 hours (Friday - Sunday 7pm - 7:30am)
Experience: Two (2) years Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
License: NYS licensure required prior to starting position
Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)


Must-Have:
Current registration in NYS with injection therapy certification
Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)


Description:
Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans.
Adhere to department policy and procedure for patient safety.
Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure their comfort.
Insert IVs when necessary for tests.
Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility.
Utilize safe patient handling techniques.
Maintain accurate patient record keeping by documenting all necessary components within the electronic system.
Ensure images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.


Preferred:
Injection certification preferred and must be willing to complete during the orientation process.
Knowledge of specific imaging equipment preferred.


Soft Skills Required:
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
A patient and compassionate disposition.
Ability to be a team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.
