Work Environment\n

This position offers the advantage of remote work while being part of a dynamic and supportive team. Although primarily based from home, you will remain connected with colleagues and clients through regular video calls, meetings, and an integrated electronic health record (EHR) system for documentation and communication. The role involves a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with some evening hours on a rotating basis to accommodate client appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use concerns, effectively identifying co-occurring disorders that may be present.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that address the nuances of their mental health and substance use needs, employing evidence-based interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that equip clients with coping strategies, relapse prevention tools, and emotional regulation techniques necessary for their recovery journeys.

• Work closely with our multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to deliver integrated and comprehensive care that meets the diverse needs of each client.

• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage and support clients in acknowledging and overcoming barriers to recovery.

• Educate clients and their families about the intertwined aspects of mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment adherence.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment progress, interventions, and referrals in alignment with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case conferences, training sessions, and team meetings to continually improve your understanding and expertise in treating co-occurring disorders.

You will primarily serve individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. These clients often face complex challenges and require sensitive, tailored approaches that consider their unique life situations and backgrounds. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Proficiency in evidence-based practices specifically for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary team focused on delivering comprehensive care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
