Pediatric Behavioral Health RN/LPN - Sign-On Bonus

Location Sioux Falls, Avera Behavioral Health Center Position Overview Registered Nurse (RN) focused on adolescent and child units within the Behavioral Health Department. Key Highlights Potential sign‑on bonus up to $15,000 Pay range: $24.50 – $48.50 (actual rate depends on experience) Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays 3+ years nursing experience preferred Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday off Responsibilities Provide nursing care by developing diagnoses, establishing objectives, defining interventions, and offering physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. Communicate care plans to the health‑care team, coordinate with physicians, document patient progress, maintain a safe environment, ensure medication and infection‑control compliance, maintain equipment and supplies, and uphold competence in nursing capabilities. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, active license required upon hire Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a clinical environment preferred Ability to work the specified rotating shifts Strong visual acuity and effective communication skills Expectations & Standards Commit to Avera’s mission, vision, and core values; uphold CARE (Communication, Attitude, Responsiveness, Engagement); maintain confidentiality; work effectively in a team; comply with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards such as CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA.
