Director, Operations

Labcorp

Baltimore, MD

Labcorp Oncology seeks a Director of Operations for its Baltimore site to lead manufacturing and operational functions within a regulated in vitro diagnostic environment. The role oversees manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, facilities, and quality while driving operational excellence and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-functional operations organization including manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, facilities, and environmental health & safety
  • Establish high-performance culture focused on accountability, employee development, and continuous improvement
  • Drive operational performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and compliance
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance efficiency and optimize resources
  • Build leadership capability through coaching, talent development, and succession planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Life Sciences
  • 10+ years progressive leadership in manufacturing or operations within regulated industries
  • 5+ years leading managers and multi-functional teams in manufacturing disciplines
  • 5+ years supporting regulatory inspections, customer audits, and compliance activities
  • 5+ years experience with new product introduction, technology transfer, and commercial manufacturing
  • Deep understanding of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and cGMP requirements
