Accounting Specialist

We are a growing small business looking for a sharp, reliable Bookkeeper to serve as the ultimate second-in-command to our Accounting Manager. salary: $25 - $30 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Own Accounts Payable: Manage the full AP cycle, from invoice verification and coding to scheduling payments.

• Keep Us Balanced: Handle daily bank and credit card reconciliations with high accuracy.

• Audit Support: Help gather documentation, prep schedules, and keep things organized for year-end reviews or tax season.

• Be the Backup: Assist the Accounting Manager with month-end closing, payroll support, and ad-hoc financial reporting.
  

What You Bring

• Experience: 3+ years in bookkeeping or accounting, ideally within a small business environment.

• Tech Savvy: Proficient in [QuickBooks Online / Xero] and mid-to-advanced Excel.

• The Essentials: strong understanding of GAAP, solid reconciliation skills, and a sharp eye for spotting discrepancies.

• Attitude: Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable wearing a few different hats when needed.
