Chief Development Officer (CDO) Greenwood House | Ewing, NJ Greenwood House seeks an accomplished, relationship-driven Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising, with an emphasis on major gifts and donor engagement. For more than 85 years, Greenwood House has provided compassionate care to older adults and their families through skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, home care, hospice, and Meals on Wheels. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Identify prospects and develop personalized fundraising strategies. Conduct donor meetings, prepare proposals, and solicit major gifts. Partner with the CEO, boards, and volunteers to strengthen fundraising relationships. Establish annual fundraising goals, major gift strategies, and plans for a future comprehensive campaign. Develop donor communications, briefing materials, and stewardship opportunities. Supervise the Development Associate and support annual giving, special events, and development operations. Strengthen fundraising systems and foster a culture of philanthropy. Qualifications 5+ years of fundraising experience, including significant major gift experience. Proven success cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors. Experience managing donor portfolios and collaborating with boards and senior leadership. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Familiarity with donor databases and fundraising systems. Supervisory or management experience. Long-term care experience preferred. Collaborative, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
