Job Title: Aluminum Welder / Fabrication Technician

This role focuses on welding and fabricating aluminum components used in the manufacturing of refrigeration units. You will work from blueprints to assemble, weld, and fabricate units, using MIG and TIG processes on thin gauge aluminum. In addition to welding, you will grind and finish metal parts to prepare them for painting and final assembly in a modern, clean, and climate-controlled production environment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding on thin gauge aluminum.
• Proficiency in TIG welding on thin gauge aluminum.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for fabrication and assembly work.
• Hands-on experience with aluminum fabrication, including cutting, fitting, and assembly.
• Skill in grinding and finishing metal parts to achieve smooth, paint-ready surfaces.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a production environment with defined shifts and breaks.
• Commitment to safety and quality in welding and fabrication operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
• Familiarity with 5S housekeeping practices and maintaining an organized workspace.
• Comfort using computers and tablets to access drawings and production information in real time.
• Ability to work collaboratively on a small team and support cross-training into assembly roles.
• Willingness to work optional Friday hours when workload requires additional support.

This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.

The pay range for this position is $25.52 - $25.52/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
