Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II, Contracts, Grants and Loans Office, the incumbent serves as the supervising manager for the Contracts Unit within the California Energy Commission, and manages the professional staff who administer contract agreements. The Staff Services Manager I acts as the subject matter expert for questions and issues related to non-IT services contracts, and acts as an in-house consultant for determining the applicability of funding sources. The incumbent is an expert in the policies and procedures within the State Contracting Manual administered by the Department of General Services. Minimum Qualifications (MQs): The MQs for this classification can be found at . The documents you submit in your application package must highlight how you meet the MQs. Working Conditions

The CEC supports a hybrid workplace model with office-based and remote-centered workers. Limited in-person attendance and occasional travel may be required based on the needs of the division. Regular and consistent attendance is essential to successful performance. This position is remote-centered, which means the incumbent works 50 percent or more of their time from an alternate work location. Teleworking is only available for employees who reside in California. You must be located in California and provide your in-state address prior to your start date. Regular and consistent attendance is essential to successful performance. Occasional travel may be required based on the needs of the division.

The California Energy Commission seeks a Staff Services Manager I in the Administrative and Financial Services Management Division/Financial Management Branch/Contracts, Grants and Loans office.
