Collections Associate

Collections Associate Our client, a leader in financial services, is seeking a Collections Associate to join their team. As a Collections Associate, you will be part of the Collections Department supporting the finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a professional demeanor which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Collections Associate Location: New York, NY Pay Range: $25 - $28/hr Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Friday What's the Job? Manage and collect outstanding accounts receivables from service customers through phone, email, and mail communications. Monitor accounts daily to identify overdue payments and take appropriate collection actions. Collaborate with the finance team and branch personnel to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies. Maintain detailed records of collection activities and ensure contact information accuracy. Prepare and present regular reports on collection activities and account statuses. What's Needed? Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a collections role or a related field. High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
