Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper:

Location: Commerce City, CO 80022
Pay: $22-24/hr
Shift: M-F 8am to 2:30pm (flexible - approx. 32 hours/week)
Job Type: Temporary to Hire
Experience: 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience preferred

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented, organized Bookkeeper to join their team and serve as the backbone of daily financial operations. The operations thrives on efficiency, attention to detail, and building strong, lasting relationships with clients.

As a Bookkeeper you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day financial activities. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, streamlining billing processes, and maintaining organized systems that allow us to meet the unique needs of our customers.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily financial records, including recording transactions and posting to the general ledger.
• Manage AP and AR, including invoicing customers, processing vendor payments, and ensuring timely collections.
• Perform regular reconciliations per invoice, ensuring that internal records align with bank statements.
• Act as point of contact for financial inquiries; utilize customer base knowledge to meet billing deadlines.
• Provide office support, including answering phones and maintaining an orderly filing system for financial documentation.
• Work directly within ERP system (Prophet 21), to manage order data, inventory, and financial reporting.

Bookkeeper Requirements:

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Prior experience with Prophet 21 ERP software is preferred. Must be proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with customers, vendors, and management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with high integrity.
