We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial recordkeeping for a non-profit organization based in the mid-Wilshire area. This long-term contract position focuses on accurate receipt processing, payment tracking, and financial data support to help maintain reliable accounting records. The role works closely with accounting staff to ensure posted transactions align with deposits, reporting activity, and month-end documentation. Previous experience with non-profit organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Record incoming payments, including checks, credit card transactions, and wire transfers, with a high level of accuracy.

• Prepare and review system-generated reports that summarize pledge balances and cash activity for reconciliation against the general ledger.

• Extract and organize financial information from Blackbaud to support month-end journal entry preparation for the Accounting Manager.

• Verify that entered transaction details correspond correctly with recorded deposits and supporting documentation.

• Maintain complete and orderly payment records to support audit readiness and internal financial controls.

• Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies between payment entries, reports, and deposit records.

• Experience in data entry within an accounting or finance environment.
• Working knowledge of Blackbaud or comparable financial database systems.
• Ability to process financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Familiarity with payment reconciliation and general ledger support activities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect inconsistencies in financial records.
• Proficiency in running reports and organizing accounting data for review.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with accounting team members.
