Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite in a dynamic home care setting, collaborating closely with another Physical Therapist and a Physical Therapist Assistant. Our facility offers a modern and spacious environment designed to facilitate high-quality therapy services and patient comfort. The structure of our workweek involves a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, offering stability and predictability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to understand patients' objectives and requirements.
• Manage a patient load efficiently, serving approximately one patient per hour to ensure focused attention.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to create and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Administer effective, cost-conscious therapeutic interventions, aiming to enhance clients' range of motion and mobility.
• Encourage non-surgical alternatives, thereby reducing reliance on medications.
• Develop and oversee customized fitness and wellness programs that promote overall health and recovery.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, ensuring sustained engagement and progress.
• Foster an environment that promotes healthy lifestyle changes, emphasizing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to patient care.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness, maintaining open channels of communication with patients and their families.
• Document all services rendered accurately, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and facilitating seamless care transitions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will focus primarily on patients with orthopedic conditions, helping them navigate recovery processes from injuries and surgeries or manage chronic pain. The practice serves individuals with private medical insurance, ensuring that our patients receive quality treatment suited to their unique orthopedic needs. The emphasis is on delivering specialized care that aids in restoring functionality and enhancing physical well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida is mandatory, along with proof of good standing with no disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in physical therapy modalities, manual therapy techniques, and evidence-based practice methodologies.
• Strong capabilities in developing and implementing effective exercise programs aimed at rehabilitation.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT, to document patient care and maintain accurate health records.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, providing tailored therapy to a diverse patient population.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative healthcare team environment.
• Experience working in home care settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
