Work Environment

Working onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Orlando, you will be part of a collaborative team that values open communication and shared goals. The workweek comprises Monday to Friday, with a full-time commitment of 40 hours, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while fully engaging with your passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to create tailored treatment plans that align with individual needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions using a combination of hands-on techniques, modalities, and patient education to ensure maximum efficacy.
• Document patient progress meticulously to monitor recovery and modify interventions as necessary while adhering to clinical guidelines.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to enhance overall patient care.
• Provide one-on-one patient consultations, education, and support, empowering patients and their caregivers with knowledge about treatment plans and self-care strategies.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards throughout patient interactions, contributing positively to the overall effectiveness of our services.
• Meet utilization goals and work productively towards business objectives established by the organization while enhancing patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role emphasizes diverse patient care across specialties, including, but not limited to, orthopedic injuries, pediatric conditions, neurologic impairments, and sports-related rehabilitation. You will engage with patients from various backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet their specific functional goals and challenges. Building trust and rapport is essential, as many patients will rely on your expertise to navigate their recovery pathways.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure a high standard of clinical care.
• Must possess a valid State License in Physical Therapy, demonstrating compliance with local regulations.
• At least two years of relevant experience working in an orthopedic setting is essential to provide comprehensive care.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association to ensure patient safety.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and other computer skills needed for patient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in evidence-based practice and familiarity with various modalities and therapeutic techniques.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting will be considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to establish connections with patients, fostering a supportive environment that enhances recovery.

Compensation and Benefits
