Position Overview

Joint Dynamics is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This full-time position entails working onsite in a home care setting, where you will play a pivotal role in restoring patients' mobility, enhancing their physical health, and improving their quality of life. Our therapists are integral in developing and implementing patient-centered care plans that cater to the individualized needs of each patient.

Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and patient-focused, allowing therapists to engage closely with patients in their homes, which reinforces comfort and fosters a supportive atmosphere for rehabilitation. Operating hours are typically Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility necessary to address the varying needs of our patients and the demands of clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to establish tailored treatment goals and interventions that enhance mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Design and implement individualized therapeutic exercise programs that focus on pain alleviation and functional improvement.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities, ensuring they understand proper techniques and body mechanics.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, while adhering to treatment protocols.
• Monitor patient progress by documenting improvements in strength, mobility, and functionality, and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to optimize patient care and recovery outcomes.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families on home exercise programs and lifestyle modifications to support long-term wellness.
• Uphold ethical standards and patient confidentiality throughout all interactions and documentation processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population comprising individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic conditions, sports injuries, and age-related mobility issues. Understanding the unique challenges faced by pediatric and geriatric clients, as well as the physical demands on athletes, is essential for the role. Building rapport and trust with patients is crucial for fostering a motivating environment conducive to recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions pertinent to physical therapy practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Candidates with experience in home health care, orthopedic rehabilitation, or sports therapy will be highly regarded. Any additional certifications or specialization in relevant fields further enhance a candidate's profile.

Compensation and Benefits

Joint Dynamics offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
