Fit Movement Physical Therapy & Wellness is looking for a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Orlando, Florida. This full-time, onsite position is an opportunity to work in a dynamic rehabilitation center focused on providing quality care to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. You will play a critical role in helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through evidence-based treatment approaches.

Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and spans 5,000 square feet, dedicated to sports medicine and rehabilitation. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative environment where our physical therapists and support staff work closely to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of Orlando, our rehabilitation center offers a supportive and engaging workspace. You will join a team of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to advancing patient care. Our practice operates with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration, and we serve primarily patients covered by private medical insurance, promoting personalized and focused care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs and goals.
• Effectively manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring comprehensive attention and quality care during each session.
• Implement a variety of manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols to enhance patients' physical capabilities.
• Monitor patient progress, modify care plans as necessary, and provide ongoing education to patients regarding their recovery processes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic treatment and comprehensive patient care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately using the WebPT EMR Software, focusing on thorough record-keeping practices.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a culture of empowerment and self-motivation.
• Encourage lifestyle changes that promote overall health, including strength training, flexibility exercises, and balance improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Fit Movement, our primary focus is on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions. You will engage with individuals who have undergone surgeries, suffered sports injuries, or are experiencing chronic pain syndromes. Our goal is to support these patients on their journey to recovery through tailored treatment plans and focused therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Florida state license as a Physical Therapist, maintaining a clean professional record free from disciplinary actions.
• Robust understanding of manual therapy techniques and proven experience executing effective exercise protocols.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to streamline patient management and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, including familiarity with sports medicine rehabilitation practices.
• A background in designing fitness and wellness programs that are tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience in utilizing advanced therapeutic modalities for pain management and functional improvement.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
