This role is designed as a remote position, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while serving our clients effectively and efficiently. Employees work collaboratively during our business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility for evening hours as needed based on client appointments. Key Responsibilities\n

The responsibilities of the Licensed Mental Health Counselor are multifaceted, requiring you to engage deeply with clients as you work towards their recovery. Key tasks include:

• Conducting in-depth assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use issues, helping to identify co-occurring disorders and tailor individualized treatment approaches.

• Collaborating with clients to create personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices to address their specific mental health needs and substance use behaviors.

• Delivering both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at equipping clients with vital coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation skills.

• Coordinating with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to ensure a comprehensive and holistic treatment approach, adapting care plans as necessary.

• Implementing regular monitoring for substance use and utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients throughout their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, particularly Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• An in-depth understanding of the complexities between mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, applicants with prior experience in telehealth service delivery or an extensive background in working with co-occurring disorders will be highly regarded. Additionally, proficiency in electronic health record management systems will be advantageous in this role.
