Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients
• Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management
• Administer medications safely according to policies
• Participate in Nursing Shared Governance Model and improvement initiatives
• Engage in professional development and continuing education
• Provide a supportive learning environment for new hires and students

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License
• BLS and ACLS Certifications
• 6 months to 3 years of Nursing (RN) experience
• Experience with intensive cardiac patients and ICU overflow
• Proficient in English: Speak, Read, Write
