Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license issued by the state of New York
• Previous experience in school settings, especially with K-12 age groups, is highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, educators, and parents
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload with professionalism and adaptability
• Up-to-date knowledge of best practices and compliance standards in school-based speech therapy

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade according to their individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments and document student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to create strategies that foster each student’s academic and social success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain detailed records as required by school and state guidelines
