NOW HIRING: Remote Bilingual Senior Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) Location: Remote (U.S.) Pay: $75,000 Base Salary + $110 per Closed Loan File Schedule: Full-Time | Eastern Time Zone Hours CornerStone Staffing is seeking experienced Remote Senior Loan Officer Assistants for a growing mortgage organization. This is an excellent opportunity for mortgage professionals who have strong income calculation skills, understand mortgage guidelines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment supporting Loan Officers and borrowers throughout the loan origination process. Compensation & Benefits Compensation Base Salary: $75,000 Additional Compensation: $110 per closed loan file Salary offer determined by experience and qualifications Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Schedule Standard schedules typically align with Eastern Time Zone business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST) Some positions may require: Weekend availability Later shifts (approximately 2:00PM-8:00PM EST Schedule flexibility may be available based on business needs Key Responsibilities Calculated borrower income and debt-to-income (DTI) ratios to ensure loan eligibility and compliance with underwriting guidelines. Reviewed and interpreted Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA lending guidelines to accurately structure and process residential mortgage loans. Evaluated income, assets, liabilities, credit reports, and supporting documentation to determine loan qualification under Conventional and FHA loan programs. Applied Fannie Mae (FNMA) and Freddie Mac (FHLMC) eligibility requirements to identify and resolve documentation or underwriting issues prior to submission. Verified borrower documentation and calculated qualifying income for salaried, hourly, self-employed, bonus, commission, and overtime borrowers. Collaborated with Loan Officers and Underwriters to address DTI concerns, clear conditions, and maintain compliance with agency guidelines. Reviewed automated underwriting findings (DU/LP) and ensured loan files met Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA requirements prior to closing. Maintained current knowledge of agency guideline updates to ensure accurate loan processing and regulatory compliance.
