Senior Project Manager

Vektor Consultants is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager/Project Leader to lead complex environmental projects from proposal through regulatory closure. The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams, maintain strong client relationships, oversee technical quality, and mentor junior staff. This position requires a self-motivated leader with extensive experience working with NYSDEC Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) projects, petroleum spill closures, and environmental due diligence. Role Description: The Senior Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of projects from initiation through closeout. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include leading project teams, defining scope, developing schedules and budgets, managing risk, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, as well as preparing and reviewing technical reports. The Senior Project Manager monitors project progress, ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards, and prepares status reports and documentation. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related field 10‑15+ years of environmental consulting experience Strong experience managing projects in New York Extensive knowledge of NYSDEC Brownfield Cleanup Program, DER‑10, NYCRR Part 375, remedial investigations, and environmental due diligence Excellent technical writing and communication skills Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities Financial awareness and project budgeting experience Ability to mentor and develop junior staff Collaborative, proactive, and solutions‑oriented mindset Professional Engineer (PE), Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), Professional Geologist (PG), or similar credential is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
