Position Overview

LifeMotion Physical Therapy and Balance Center is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in West Mclean, Virginia. In this full-time position, you will contribute significantly to the restoration and enhancement of our patients' mobility and quality of life. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical evaluations and assessments to identify patients' specific needs and challenges.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices that encourage optimal recovery.
• Apply a variety of therapeutic modalities—such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation—to enhance rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and their families about their treatment plans, empowering them to actively participate in their recovery process.
• Collaborate regularly with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, sharing insights and adapting treatment strategies as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes, utilizing our electronic medical record (EMR) system for seamless documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population encompasses individuals of all ages, each with unique rehabilitation needs stemming from various orthopedic conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse cases, allowing you to apply your skills in multiple contexts—from chronic pain sufferers to those recovering from surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is required.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic or clinical setting is preferred, although new graduates who demonstrate strong clinical acumen are encouraged to apply.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a deep commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
• A collaborative team spirit and a positive, proactive attitude toward patient management.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation setting is advantageous, as is familiarity with specific protocols for treating sports-related injuries. Experience in utilizing outcome measures to assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with employer matching, and generous paid time off (2-3 weeks). We also provide support for continuing education, with funding available for coursework and certification opportunities ranging from $1,500 - $2,500 per year.
