Project Coordinator / PM Analyst (Finance & Actuarial)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid, strong preference for candidates local to Charlotte and able to work onsite 2-4 days per week in the future)

About the Role

We are looking for a Project Coordinator / PM Analyst to support Finance, Actuarial, and Enterprise Modeling initiatives. This role is ideal for an early-to-mid career professional who wants to grow in project management while working in a data-driven and technical environment.

You will help coordinate projects, manage schedules and deliverables, track risks and action items, maintain project documentation, and support Agile delivery processes across modeling, reporting, and data-related workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate project activities, meetings, and deliverables across Finance, Actuarial, Data, and Modeling teams.
Maintain project plans, status reports, dashboards, meeting notes, and project documentation.
Track risks, issues, action items, and decisions (RAID logs).
Support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Manage and maintain work items and backlogs in Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools.
Prepare project metrics, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, business teams, and technical teams.
Monitor project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and delivery commitments.
Escalate risks, blockers, and scheduling conflicts when needed.
Take ownership of small projects and workstreams as responsibilities grow.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience in Project Coordination, Project Management, PMO Support, or related roles.
Experience working in Financial Services, Insurance, Actuarial, Finance, Data, or Modeling environments.
Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools such as:
- Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Jira
- SmartSheet
- MS Project
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

CAPM, PMP, CSM, or other Agile/Project Management certifications.
Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).
Exposure to modeling and data platforms such as:
- Prophet
- Oracle Cloud EPM
- Snowflake

Ideal Candidate

Someone with 3-5 years of PM/Project Coordination experience who has worked in a financial services, insurance, actuarial, or data-focused environment , understands Agile delivery , is comfortable with ADO/Jira , and is looking to grow into a Project Manager role.
