Job Responsibilities

• Weigh and purchase various types of scrap metals

• Identify and sort different metals accurately

• Utilize computer systems for data entry and transaction processing

• Assist customers and provide excellent customer service

• Perform general yard duties and material handling

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

• Work effectively with team members and the public

Qualifications

Required

• Strong math skills

• Basic computer proficiency

• Previous manufacturing, industrial, or outdoor work experience

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work in varying outdoor conditions

• Ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday

Preferred

• Mechanical aptitude or mechanical experience

• Previous Yard Attendant, Material Handler, or similar experience

• Supervisory or leadership experience

Work Environment

You'll work alongside a small team in a fabrication and recycling yard environment. This position is primarily outdoors and requires working in various weather conditions. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hagerstown, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $45000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Vacation; 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2 years, 3 weeks after 10 years. Uniform provided 40 hours of sick time- probationary period of 106 days. 10 paid holidays No travel No waiting period for benefits Medical is 75% covered
