The facility features a 9-bed labor and delivery unit and 20 postpartum beds, supported by a strong team including OBHG hospitalists, surgical assistants, and dedicated nursing staff.

Job Details: Locum tenens OB/GYN coverage with potential for ongoing coverage, including urgent need dates in December Practice setting: OB/GYN Hospital/Call Call coverage is 7a-7a (24-hour shifts) with clinic coverage of approximately 20 patients per schedule Call ratio of 1 to 4 Average of 2-3 nursery admissions per day Average callback per 24-hour shift is less than 1, with calls received from answering service Documentation system/EMR: EPIC Required procedures include: C-sections, vaginal deliveries, suction D&C, ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, and management of abnormal bleeding MFM will handle most high-risk patients Support staff includes OBHG hospitalist, surgical assistants, and 3-4 nurses per shift Active Virginia medical license required Active VA DEA and CSR required Board Certification required ABOG and BLS certifications required ACLS certification required Must be able to cover call Candidates must provide procedure logs during credentialing demonstrating a minimum of 50 deliveries, with at least 15 C-sections in the last 12 months Self-query NPDB report required at time of presentation Providers must have a clean background to be considered Credentialing takes 60-90 days; temp approvals may be available for providers with a clean background and no malpractice history

Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
