Travel PCU Stepdown RN

Role: Travel Stepdown RN responsible for providing specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units. Responsibilities Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities. Administer medications and treatments, assist during cardiac procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort. Assess and manage complex patient needs, document conditions, and respond to cardiac emergencies. Educate patients on cardiac health, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain confidentiality. Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of one year recent experience as a Stepdown RN. Current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications. Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients; proficiency with PC skills. Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions, and handle irregular schedules.
