Coordinator, Deal Operations
\tAs a key member of the Deal Operations Team, the Coordinator, Deal Operations supports Client contract execution, data management, deal implementation, and partner onboarding processes. This individual follows established processes to manage changes over contract lifecycle, maintain good working relationships with internal and external partners, and ensures the completeness and accuracy of Client contract data. They will work within their team on specific workflows, collaborating with others as needed. The ideal candidate will be an avid consumer of media with an interest in books & entertainment, a self-starter with strong analytical skills, and able to thrive in a high-energy entrepreneurial environment.
\tPrimary Responsibilities
\tRights & Contract Management
\tWork closely with Client Legal, Content Acquisition & Development, and Content Operations Teams tfacilitate contract execution and support deal implementation
\tIdentify the downstream impacts of new contracts and contract changes at the deal, title, and payment level across relevant systems and teams by following established processes and escalation paths as needed
\tEnter terms in Client contract database and update internal trackers
\tEnsure existing processes are followed and identify opportunities for improvement
\tPayment Operations
\tWork closely with Client Finance team ton-board new partners tClient Financial & Tax systems
\tRequest upfront & milestone payments and update relevant trackers
\tAssist in performing monthly and quarterly reviews by ensuring changes are implemented consistently and correctly
\tGeneral Support
\tConduct ad-hoc research and analysis
\tRespond tinquiries and trouble tickets
\tProvide general operational support tthe Deal, Production & Localization Operations team
\tParticipate in data clean-up projects as needed
\tProvide reporting tsupport departmental operational activities
\tRole Requirements
\tB.A. or equivalent degree preferred
\tStrong attention tdetail and organizational skills
\tAbility twork in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
\tExcellent communication skills twork with a wide variety of people
\tProficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel
\tProblem-solving skills and ability thandle straightforward problems/projects
\tAbility twork collaboratively with peers and across team
\tPreferred but not Required Qualifications
\tExperience in an entertainment, digital media or publishing field and/or experience with contracts/IP licensing
\tWorking knowledge of database concepts & best practices
\tExperience with SQL queries
