Senior Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an established organization to hire a Senior Staff Accountant . Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will support financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, cash management, tax compliance, audits, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead assigned month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Analyze account fluctuations and resolve discrepancies
• Manage bank reconciliations, cash activity, wire transfers, ACH payments, and NACHA files
• Prepare sales and use tax returns and support other tax filings
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to internal and external audit requests
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, SOX, and company accounting policies
• Improve accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner with cross-functional teams on accounting and financial reporting matters

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and XLOOKUP
• SOX compliance and internal controls experience preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
