What You'll Do Determine and check load weights against the crane's lifting capacity to prevent overloading Use controls to safely lift, move, and place heavy materials like machinery, construction equipment, or other large objects Conduct pre-operational inspections, including checking for mechanical issues or worn parts, and determine ground stability at the worksite Keep cranes clean, lubricate mechanisms, and perform minor repairs as needed to prevent malfunctions Communicate with ground crew, construction managers, and other workers via hand signals or verbal instructions to ensure safe and efficient operations Responsible for maintaining records of equipment, maintenance schedules, repairs, parts and inventory What You'll Need Team leadership experience required Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint SAP experience preferred Must be able to work overtime-planned or unplanned-including during emergency situations Ability to work rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) Experience in Inventory Control Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely and effectively Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs/ladders, work at heights, extreme heat, and wear respirator Work effectively as a team member in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and root-cause focus Your Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred CMC is committed to providing equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, physical or mental disability, national origin, citizenship, military or veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, or other status protected by federal, state or local law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Commercial Metals
